Brittany is an activist, educator, naturalist and social entrepreneur who has over several years of professional experience working in advocacy, communications and non-profit management.
Brittany is the Founding Director of Not Without Black Women, a project aimed to uplift black women's voices through self-expression, dialogue and sisterhood. She's also the Director of Outreach and Communications at The Living Well Center for Social & Economic Vibrancy.
Named as Bitch Media's "20 Black Women You Should Be Following Right Now," her leadership has led her to facilitate a number of lectures, trainings and workshops on grassroots organizing, gender-based violence and more. She was the force who challenged white feminism during the Women's March and has no regrets. Brittany has been a featured speaker for Amnesty International, the Global Women's Institute, UB's Center on Applied Feminism and more.
Her latest project involves using an equity lens to work with arts, cultural and environmental organizations to support programming and bridge connections to community. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Towson University and on her own time, she enjoys shooting photography, social dancing and practices healing ritual work.
